Grand Canyon National Park, AZ
After picking my parents up at the Las Vegas airport, we started the drive to Arizona and - uncharacteristically - it rained almost the entire duration of our stay. Despite the weather, we headed out to the park, and when we arrived thick clouds still hung heavy below the canyon rim, obscuring the view. As the sun and temperature rose, the clouds slowly lifted, but never cleared. The overcast lighting made it difficult to see into and photograph the canyon, but seeing the massive rock formations shrouded in clouds was a unique experience in its own right.
